Allegations of Sexual Assault Against New York City Mayor Eric Adams

In November, allegations of sexual assault against New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) surfaced, dating back to an incident in 1993. The accuser filed a summons under the Adult Survivors Act, invoking the same law used by E. Jean Carroll against Trump after 30 years.

Details of the Allegations

The accuser, Lorna Beach-Mathura, claimed that Adams sexually assaulted her while they both worked for the City of New York. She is seeking $5 million in damages. Court documents revealed that Adams allegedly sought a sexual favor from Beach-Mathura in 1993, while he was a police officer, in exchange for helping her career.

According to The New York Post, Beach-Mathura approached Adams for assistance with a promotion, as she had been overlooked as a black woman in the NYPD. The lawsuit alleges that Adams took advantage of her vulnerability, demanding sexual favors and assaulting her.

“Defendant Adams preyed on her perceived vulnerability, demanding a quid pro quo sexual favor and sexually assaulting Plaintiff, revealing himself not to be the ‘Guardian’ he purported to be, but a predator,” the lawsuit stated.

Further graphic details were provided in the court filing, including an incident where Adams allegedly masturbated in front of Beach-Mathura and ejaculated on her against her will.

Denials and Investigations

Adams has denied knowing Beach-Mathura or being involved in the incident. However, he is currently under federal investigation. The FBI seized his cellphones and iPads as part of a corruption probe related to his 2021 campaign.

The investigation focuses on text messages suggesting that Adams expedited approvals from city departments for the Turkish government’s headquarters in New York City. Brianna Suggs, Adams’ chief fundraiser, had her residence raided by the FBI in connection to the case.

These developments have raised serious concerns about Mayor Eric Adams’ conduct and integrity, casting a shadow over his leadership in New York City.
